Bovi-Shield IBR Cattle Vaccine is a modified-live, freeze-dried vaccine supplied as a 50-dose vial, formulated to protect healthy, nonpregnant beef and dairy cattle from infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR). Each single 2 mL dose is given subcutaneously or intramuscularly and, when used according to the product label, supports at least nine months of immunity. The freeze-dried vial must be aseptically rehydrated with the supplied sterile diluent before administration.

  • For use in healthy, nonpregnant beef and dairy cattle; suitable for calves nursing vaccinated cows when dams have been properly vaccinated.
  • Dosage and route: 2 mL per animal, subcutaneous or intramuscular; follow Beef Quality Assurance guidance for subcutaneous injections in the neck.
  • Storage and handling: store consistently at 2°–8°C and do not freeze; contains gentamicin as a preservative.
  • Safety and restrictions: avoid use within 21 days of slaughter; anaphylaxis and other adverse reactions are possible; do not mix with other products unless the label permits.
  • Shipping and handling notes: requires proper rehydration, handling, and disposal; ships via express service Monday–Wednesday and cannot be sent to PO boxes or outside the continental US.

Follow the product label for primary vaccination, booster timing, and full administration and safety instructions; proper storage and aseptic rehydration are required to maintain vaccine integrity.
