Farnam Mare Plus is a pelleted gestation and lactation supplement formulated to supply measured vitamins, minerals, protein and fat to pregnant and nursing mares. The formulation provides 12% crude protein, 2% crude fat and 8% crude fiber, plus specified micronutrient levels: vitamin A (36,000 IU/lb), vitamin D3 (6,600 IU/lb), vitamin E (2,400 IU/lb), zinc (125 mg/lb), copper (40 mg/lb) and selenium (0.25 mg/lb) to support foal development, milk production and the mare’s condition.
- Pelleted form with an included scoop (~2 oz / 56 g) for measured feeding; dosage guidance on the label lists 1 oz (maintenance), 2 oz (gestation) and 3 oz (lactation).
- Contains feed ingredients and additives shown on the label, including monocalcium phosphate, soybean meal, alfalfa meal, calcium carbonate, cane molasses, salt, selenium yeast and mixed tocopherols.
- Formulation provides calcium-to-phosphorus balance and includes amino acid chelates for trace minerals (manganese, zinc, copper) as indicated on the composition table.
Store the container sealed in a cool, dry area to preserve quality. The product label includes precautions on selenium intake and maximum dosing; follow those label directions when feeding to avoid nutritional imbalance.
