Safe-Guard Equi-Bits are alfalfa-based, apple-flavored medicated pellets that deliver fenbendazole (0.5%) in a one-day dosing format to control common equine parasites. The product is formulated to be top-dressed and spread uniformly over a horse’s daily ration so each animal consumes the medicated amount.

  • Active ingredient: fenbendazole 0.5% (5.0 g/kg) formulated as Type C medicated pellets.
  • One-day dosing: standard dose 5 mg fenbendazole/kg (2.27 mg/lb); higher ascarid dose 10 mg/kg (4.54 mg/lb).
  • Feeding examples: 1.0 lb per 1,000 lb body weight for the standard dose or 1.0 lb per 500 lb for the ascarid dose.
  • Package coverage: 1.25 lb container treats up to 1,250 lb at the 5 mg/kg dose or up to 625 lb at the 10 mg/kg ascarid dose when used as directed.
  • Guaranteed analysis: crude protein ≥12.5%; crude fat ≥2.0%; crude fiber ≤25.0%.

Observe label precautions: do not use in horses intended for human consumption, keep out of reach of children, and ensure horses eat normally to avoid underdosing.
